21-month-old killed in train crash identified

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - New developments after a 21-month-old was killed after being struck by a train in Springfield. We’re now learning the toddler was Gloria Elikana — the youngest of five.
The toddler died after being hit by an Amtrak train just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday night. She was rushed to Baystate Medical Center, where she later died.
The Springfield Detective Bureau is looking into how the child was able to get onto the tracks.
