SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - On Saturday, hundreds of people from across the Pioneer Valley showed up to meet the legend of the hit 70’s TV show Happy Days Henry Winkler.

The meet and greet was originally scheduled to appear at Zombie Hideout Comics, Collectibles and More on Cooley Street in Springfield three years ago. However, scheduling conflicts with Winkler’s busy schedule kept pushing it back until he can finally see his loving fans.

As well as being best known for playing Fonzie, he later went on to go on to other blockbusters like The Waterboy and HBO’s TV series Barry.

Winkler has local by spending his college days at Emerson College and once was roommates with former Western Mass News reporter Ray Hershel.
