Adams man sentenced for assault and battery on a child

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - An Adams man was sentenced on Tuesday for assault and battery on a child among other charges related to child pornography.
Prosecutors said between 2020 and 2022, Michael Hiser, 39, snuck into a victim’s room at night, touched them inappropriately and secretly took sexually explicit photos, including images later found on his photo.

He was sentenced to 15 to 20 years in state prison with other prison terms running at the same time, plus five years of probation.
