Adams man sentenced for sexual abuse of a child

ADAMS, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A Berkshire County man will spend decades behind bars after repeatedly raping and exploiting a child and producing hundreds of images of child sexual abuse.
39-year-old Brian Warner of Adams pleaded guilty in Berkshire Superior Court on Friday To a long list of charges and has been sentenced to 25 to 28 years in state prison. The judge calling the crimes so “egregious” that standard sentencing guidelines “utterly fail” in this case.
Investigators say warner raped and assaulted one child over about two years while creating child sexual abuse images, and that hundreds of images produced by him were uncovered.
Warner had already been sentenced in federal court in March to 28 years for three counts of sexual exploitation of a child. He’ll serve his federal and state sentences at the same time, starting in federal prison, then serving any remaining state time in Massachusetts.
