SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - If you love the Children’s Museum in Holyoke, you will soon see higher prices at the door.

Starting July 1, general admission will be $10 a person as opposed to $8 with memberships, birthday parties, field trips and other services also getting a price bump for the first time in years.

Museum leaders say that kids under 1 and members will still get in free and families can lock in today’s lower rates on tickets and memberships through June 13.

The museum adding these rising costs will help cover the increased cost of maintenance, supplies and general updates while still prioritizing competitive wages and regular cost-of-living raises for staff.
