SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The Arch Institute, as well as the Darnell Jenkins Resource Center hosted a basketball game at Putnam Vocational Technical High School in Springfield.

The event aimed to promote peace and unity within the City of Firsts while honoring the mothers who have lost their children to gun violence, promoting the need to help communities find community Driven solutions.

Several speakers showed up at the game as well as free food and vendors were in attendance to help promote public safety.
