Board disciplines doctor who struck police officer during Jan. 6 attack
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A Massachusetts doctor participating in the Jan. 6 attack on the United States Capitol has been disciplined.
According to the state’s board of medicine, Dr. Jacquelyn Starer was among the crowd and struck a police officer with her closed fist. She was a gynecologist who was also certified in general preventative medicine and addiction medicine.
Starer was first licensed to practice medicine in 1983. Now, the board says they have removed her right to renew her medical license.
She was one of many pardoned by President Donald Trump following his return to office.
