Body of Mass. man missing since January found in Connecticut River

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The body of a man missing out of Holyoke since early this year has been located and identified.
Donald Plasse, 63, of Holyoke, went missing on Jan. 13 following an incident near the Connecticut River in South Hadley, the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection said.
On the afternoon of May 9, a body was found in the Connecticut River near the Chester-Lyme Ferry in Connecticut.
The Chester Fire Department recovered the body and declared the person deceased. EnCon investigators, Massachusetts State Police and the Chief Medical Examiner’s office (OCME) worked together to determine the identity of the body.
The OCME positively identified the individual as Plasse.
