Body recovered from Conn. River in Greenfield

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Investigators are looking into the death of a man pulled from the Connecticut River in Greenfield on Wednesday afternoon.
Around 2 p.m. that day, first responders were called to the area of Montague City Road after reports of someone floating in the water. Emergency crews used a boat to reach the man and brought him to shore — where he was pronounced dead.
At this time, authorities say no foul play is suspected. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.
