Bridge in Windsor Locks to close for construction

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WGGB/WSHM) - if you often use the route 140 Bridge Street Bridge in Windsor Locks, you’ll need to find a detour next weekend.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced the bridge will be closed starting at 7 p.m. Friday as new signal gates are installed for the Amtrak railroad project.
Traffic will be detoured onto Route 159, to Route 91, and finally onto Route 140, signs and message boards will also be used to direct traffic.
The construction will be finished around 4 p.m. on Monday, June 1st.
