SUFFIELD, Conn. (WGGB/WSHM) - On Sunday afternoon, the Suffield Police Department announced that East Street North is closed between Thompsonville Road and River Boulevard Extension due to a car crash.

Suffield Police went on to say there is a utility pole with wires down in the area. Officials also asked drivers to avoid the area at the time until utility crews make the necessary repairs.

Local residents will be allowed entry into the road permitting the clean up for the scene.
