Car hits telephone pole in Chicopee

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - If you had an unexpected detour in Chicopee on Thursday, we can share why.
Crews responded to the area of Montgomery Street for reports of a car hitting a pole around 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon. You can see damage to both the electric pole and the vehicle in the Greater Springfield Church of Christ parking lot.
Our crews were on the scene as workers cleaned up the accident safely, and it looks no one else was involved. Officials haven’t yet gotten back to us about any injuries reported.
