Chicopee hosts first ever pride parade

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - For the first time ever, Chicopee took to the streets to celebrate pride in June. The city hosted their very first pride parade on Saturday morning.
The community showed up by the dozens and showed out for their pride, paradegoers took off from Dana Park and finished over at Szot Park. There was plenty of live entertainment as well as vendors for the event.
The parade was designed to give visibility to the many facets of the LGBTQ community in the city.
