Chicopee reminds drivers enforcement against passing busses to start

CHICOPEE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The warning period is ending soon in Chicopee, for drivers who pass school buses, even when their lights are on and the stop sign is out.
Starting April 1st, the mayor’s office says police will begin the full enforcement of the law, which requires drivers to remain at a complete stop until the bus begins moving again.
The goal is to curb dangerous driving behaviors and keep students safe.
