Crash knocks down utility pole, closes road in Enfield

ENFIELD, Conn. (WFSB) - A road in Enfield is closed after a crash that brought down a utility pole on Sunday morning.

The roadway will be closed for an extended period of time due to wires and a utility pole in the roadway, according to the police department.

Brainard Road is closed between George Washington Road and Sharren Lane at this time.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

Eversource CT has been notified.
