Crews battling fire in Westfield

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Crews are responding to a fire on Avery Street in Westfield Monday afternoon.

As of 4 p.m., police are blocking off the road while crews work to clear the scene.

Multiple fire trucks as well as ambulances were on the scene around 3:30 p.m. People are asked to avoid the area.

It is unclear whether anyone is injured or if anyone has been displaced.

Western Mass News has reached out to the Westfield Fire Department and is waiting to hear back.
