EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Around 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, the East Longmeadow Fire Department responded to a call of a fire at the Big Y Supermarket at 441 North Main Street.

Upon arriving, firefighters noticed the smoking coming from the back of the store. As soon as crews entered the building, they discovered the fire coming from an exhaust fan within one of the restrooms and was quickly put out.

Mutual aid from the Longmeadow Fire Department was there to help with the scene. There are no reports if anyone was injured or not in response to the fire, and there are no further details at this time.
