GREENFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The Greenfield man accused of stabbing his own father inside of a restaurant in April was back in court this Thursday. On the evening of April 15th, the father of 32-year old Carlos Naranjo called 911, reporting his son stabbed him inside his own business.

When police arrived at Roberto’s Pizzeria on Federal Street, they found the 61-year-old in critical condition with multiple stab-wounds. He was later stabilized in the hospital. Naranjo was in Greenfield District Court for a dangerousness hearing, but the judge hasn’t made a decision on his right to bail.

However, the judge handed him a new charge of withholding evidence from criminal proceeding, adding to a handful of assault charges, including assault with intent to murder. For now, he’s staying behind bars without bail.
