GREAT BARRINGTON — Blue Stone Manor's latest appearance is in Berkshire Superior Court, where "Real Housewives of New York" alum Dorinda Medley alleges a neighbor built a shed that crosses onto her Great Barrington property.

Medley is asking a judge to order her neighbor, Aine Ungar, to remove the portions of the shed, driveway and fence that allegedly go onto her property on 25 West Sheffield Road, according to a complaint filed July 2 by attorney Kevin Kinne, which also seeks damages and attorney's fees.

Blue Stone Manor is an 11,000-square-foot home built in 1902 that was purchased by Medley’s late husband in 2005. The multi-million-dollar mansion has made appearances in Bravo's reality television shows "The Real Housewives of New York City" along with "The Ultimate Girls Trip."

In 2021, Medley teamed up with Airbnb to offer two groups of four one-night stays at the estate for $100 a night.

"The encroachments constitute an ongoing and impermissible trespass upon the Plaintiff's land, and the Plaintiff is suffering irreparable harm," the lawsuit states.

According to the lawsuit, Ungar ignored multiple requests to remove the encroachments and stop entering Medley's property. The complaint asks a judge to establish the property boundary and order the structures removed.

The items at play were constructed between 2016 and 2018, though Medley didn’t realize they were on her property until recently, the lawsuit said.

In May, a land surveyor, BEK Associates, hired by Medley, confirmed that items did cross onto her property and a different shed, which is not on her property, violates the minimum setback in the zoning district.

Kinne declined to comment beyond the allegations in the complaint, citing attorney-client privilege. Ungar could not be reached and court records do not list an attorney for Ungar.

Ungar is incorrectly identified as Aime rather than Aine in the lawsuit, Kinne said.

Land records show Medley's property is about 18 acres while Ungar's is .67 acres. The encroachment interferes with “lawful use” of her own property, the lawsuit said.
