Driver hurt in rollover crash on Mohawk Trail in North Adams

NORTH ADAMS — A driver whose car flipped over Tuesday night on the Mohawk Trail (Route 2) was brought to the hospital, police said. The injuries were not life-threatening.
At about 8:40 p.m., emergency crews responded to the area of Route 2 and West Shaft Road.
The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was extracted by North Adams Fire Department and transported to North Adams Regional Hospital with "non-life threatening injuries," according to police Chief Mark Bailey. The roads were closed for about an hour.
The driver was headed west and apparently crossed into the eastbound lane and hit an embankment, which caused the car to roll onto its side. Police did not immediately release the driver's name.
Emergency crews responded to a single vehicle car accident on March 24 on Route 2 in North Adams where the driver was extracted from the vehicle and take to the hospital.
The North Adams fire and police departments, state police, the Florida Fire Department and Northern Berkshire Emergency Services responded to the scene.
