Early morning crash takes out signs in Forest Park

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Just after 2 a.m. on Saturday, emergency crews responded to a two vehicle car crash at the intersection of Abbot Street and Sumner Avenue.
In a video submitted by a Western Mass News viewer, you can see the cars collide and spin out into some road signs as first responders arrive on the scene shortly after.
Western Mass News reached out to the Springfield Fire Department, who said that thankfully the drivers did not need rescuing from their vehicles. There’s no word on the extent of either of the driver’s injures.
