Emergency crews pull off water rescue in Turners Falls

MONTAGUE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - After 8 p.m. on Friday, the Montague Police Department received multiple reports for two people stranded below the dam on the Connecticut River.
Officers of the Montague Police Department found the individuals stuck on an island with rising waters. The Turners Falls Fire Department coordinated their effort with the Greenfield and Gill fire departments, crews were able to make contact with the two and help them guide them back to shore.
There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
