EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The Easthampton Fire Department said on social media that on Thursday that crews were called to action for a dumpster fire nearby a house on Holyoke Street.

They went on to say that out of five firefighters on the shift, only one was able to respond due to multiple ambulance calls happening at the same time of the fire.

The lone firefighter thankfully got assistance from both the fire safety inspector and the deputy chief to put out the flames. The fire was quickly put out with their assistance and didn’t spread beyond the dumpster.

There are no reports of any injuries in response to the blaze.
