Enfield to host America 250 celebrations

ENFIELD, Conn. (WGGB/WSHM) - While the Fourth of July might have passed on the calendar, but just across the border in Enfield, Connecticut, the celebration continues.
The volunteer-run event runs Friday through Sunday, with live music, a beer garden, “Taste of Enfield” food tents, children’s activities, and more.
Prepare for extra traffic in the area as Saturday features the Independence Day 5K, plus the “America 250: A Journey Through the Centuries” parade along route 5 at 11 a.m. And a full day of tribute bands on the green.
Sunday will wrap up with a car show, more family activities, and the fireworks spectacular at 9:30 p.m.
Admission to concerts, entertainment and kids’ activities is free.
