Fire crews battle massive blaze in Forest Park

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Just after 1 p.m. on Saturday, the Springfield Fire Department responded to a call for an apartment fire at 109 Oakland Street in Forest Park.
Western Mass News was on scene and spotted a heavy presence of first responders trying to battle the fire in the freezing temperatures.
We reached out to Springfield Fire Department spokesperson Drew Piemonte, who said they’re currently battling a 3 alarm fire. Further details are limited at this time.
