SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - An early morning blaze started as an electrical fire and has left two people with a home. Springfield Fire was called to 853 Armory Street just before 2 a.m. on Sunday morning.

There have been no reports of injuries as a result of fighting the blaze. Two people and a dog have been displaced and are now being assisted by the Red Cross.

The Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad has determined that the cause of the fire was an electrical malfunction inside the attic.
