Former Auburn police officer gets probation for sex crime

AUBURN, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A former police officer was sentenced last month to three years of probation following a child predator sting operation last year.
Officer Dominick Boschetto and nine others were arrested in April.
A two-week investigation in Berkshire County was established to “apprehend individuals engaging in criminal activities connected to human trafficking crimes.” Boschetto was arrested in connection and was originally charged with sexual conduct with a child under 18 for a fee and enticement of a child under 16.
During the investigation, officials posed as 14-year-old and 15-year-old girls on different online platforms and communicated with the suspects to meet up for sex.
Boschetto, 32, worked with the Auburn Police Department for two years and resigned before an internal investigation could be completed.
In June, he pleaded guilty to paying for sexual conduct with a child under 18.
He was sentenced to three years of probation with conditions including a mental health evaluation and monitoring of his social media accounts.
