Fundraiser held for improving veterans wellbeing
LUDLOW, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A fundraiser with an important cause was held Saturday at the Portuguese American Club in Ludlow.
Operation Veteran Vacation was founded by Marine Corps veteran Justin Torrey in hopes of helping reconnect veterans with their family members through outdoor recreation and wellness programs.
the evening included inspiring testimonials from veterans and family members who have experienced firsthand the positive impact this organization can have.
“My favorite thing when it comes to doing these events, and it’s a little bit selfish, is hearing the testimonials. And how much people enjoy the programs and how much it’s benefitting their lives,” said Torrey.
