Greenfield announces bike plan for the city

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - City leaders in Greenfield published a comprehensive plan on Tuesday to create a city-wide bike path network.
In a 60-page document, the city laid out their research behind the project and how it influenced its seven priorities, those being:
Around 15 percent of Greenfield households do not have access to a vehicle.
“Biking is an efficient, healthy, and affordable way to get around,” said Mayor Virginia Desorgher. “This plan will help us make Greenfield a place that better supports residents who want to go by bike.”
The plan includes connections to schools, Baystate Franklin Medical Center, Main Street, Greenfield Community College, Rocky Mountain Park and affordable housing neighborhoods.
