Hampden County Sheriff’s Office hosts Christmas Party

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The second annual Youth Leadership Academy Christmas Party was held on Friday.
The Hampden County Sheriff’s Office invited Santa to help deliver some toys to more than 400 kids, but that was just part of the draw. There was live music and therapy dogs to lift everyone’s spirits. Leadership Academy is a free summer camp for kids learning how they can make a positive impact in their communities. Course we had to take a minute to hear from Santa Claus who has a message to share with you all, “to everybody out there, have a safe enjoyable holiday. Be smart, enjoy family, and let’s get ready for 2026.”
Sheriff Nick Cocchi added that the Youth Leadership Academy hoped to remind families that they are here to support them, especially during the holidays.
