SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - On Sunday, you can help investigators solve a 1990 murder. The Hampden District Attorney’s Office will be collecting voluntary DNA samples to help identify potential relatives of an unknown murder suspect.

We’re approaching the 35th anniversary of when 17-year-old Shana Renee Price was found dead near the entrance of Blunt Park as the victim of assault.

35 years later, investigators have not given up on her case and are looking to build a family tree to identify a possible suspect. If interested, the District Attorney’s Office will be collecting those DNA samples at the Springfield United Toy Drive and Holiday Celebration at MassMutual Center on Sunday from 2 until 5 p.m.
