NORTHAMPTON, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - If you were in the mood for ice cream while out shopping in Northampton, you had an extra special treat at Herrell’s. Cozy the Polar Bear stopped in after he did his Christmas shopping and took some pictures with the kids.

The event ran from 2 in the afternoon until 6 p.m. Saturday afternoon, those who attended not only got a picture with Cozy, but they also received a small toy and a one-dollar gift certificate.

“We love to meet them. We love the kids coming in, the families coming in. It’s worth the trip to Northampton or Amherst. We have a store in the mill district, and we’d love to see you,” said Judy Herrell, the owner of Herrell’s ice cream.

Those who attended on Saturday not only got a picture with Cozy, but they also received a small toy and a one-dollar gift certificate.

Herrell’s Ice Cream has now been a staple in Hampshire County for 45 years.
