Holyoke honors Veterans of the Year

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - This Veterans Day, Michael Washut was recognized as Holyoke’s Veteran of the Year at the War Memorial Building.
Washut is a Navy Veteran who served as a Submarine Communications Technician at multiple stations in the pacific during the Vietnam War-era.
He continues to honor his service by volunteering at the VA and continuously helping to restore the veterans’ graves at Calvary Cemetery.
