Holyoke man serving life for child sex crimes denied parole for 5th time

A man who’s been incarcerated for 37 years after a pair of brutal attacks on young boys in Holyoke has been unanimously denied release for the fifth time by the Massachusetts Parole Board.
LaDale Strange, who is serving two concurrent life sentences with the possibility of parole, was denied after a review hearing in May.
Strange, at age 17, pleaded guilty in Hampden Superior Court in 1989 to two counts of rape of a child with force, three counts of kidnapping and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He first became eligible for parole in 2003.
