HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The Holyoke Teachers Association “overwhelmingly” voted to ratify their agreement with Holyoke Public Schools on Tuesday, Mayor Josh Garcia announced.

The contract includes work days and years similar to other districts, modern, paid parental leave, wage increases, protected time, and the creation of a health and safety committee.

It was ratified with a 310-11 vote.

“This moment reminds us that when we work together, stay grounded in reality, and remain focused on the students we serve, we can achieve meaningful outcomes for Holyoke,” Garcia said.
