Hooplandia tips off at Eastern States Exposition fairgrounds

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The highly anticipated Hooplandia began on Friday at the Eastern States Exposition Fairgrounds. Teams checked in to compete and the courts were open for free and public play.
Competitions such as the three-point challenge kicked off, but the real competition begins for Friday Night Hooptacular. High schools will begin facing off against their rivals, with a DJ there for added motivation.
Then the tournament will kick off on Saturday, with nonstop play all weekend including championship games on Sunday. Admission is free for all attendees.
