ENFIELD, Conn. (WGGB/WSHM) - Typically, police departments recognize their K9’s for sniffing out drugs or catching suspects — but Enfield’s unit is being praised for a different kind of find.

K9 Duke, who brought officers to a teen in crisis who’d run away from home Sunday. Duke got to the scene just 45 minutes after being called in. But still, he was immediately able to follow the missing juvenile.

Enfield Police said he tracked for a quarter-of-a-mile until finding the teen hiding on the bank of a creek.
