Longmeadow says “no” to Proposition 2 1/2 override
LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Longmeadow held their annual town election on Tuesday and have appeared to say “no” to a Proposition 2 1/2 override.
Though the results are unofficial, an overwhelming majority voted no to the proposition. Over 800 voters said no while only 430 said yes.
This comes as many other local cities and towns are wondering the same thing, with students walking out in support of the proposition in Easthampton and South Hadley schools questioning what to do next with a $3 million budget deficit.
It is unclear when the “official” results will be released. This story will be updated at that time.
