SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A man with a gun was shooting at passing cars on Memorial Drive near Harvard University Monday afternoon, witnesses said.

State police say at least one person was shot, but there is no ongoing danger to the public and a suspect is in custody.

Drivers were told to avoid the area while police investigate and Gov. Healey said she is grateful to first responders who worked quickly to keep the area safe.
