Mass. State Trooper crashes cruiser to stop runaway tractor trailer
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A number of notable crashes happened in Springfield since Thursday night, most recently, involving a Mass State Police cruiser and a tractor-trailer.
Western Mass News on-scene nearby Boland Way shortly after calls came in, at around 2:45 p.m. on Friday.
According to State Police, the tractor-trailer driver looked to be having a medical emergency. A trooper on patrol noticed, then stopped the tractor-trailer by positioning their cruiser in the truck’s path.
No one was hurt, but the driver was unresponsive and taken to the hospital in a cruiser. Officials are currently investigating.
