Massive boom heard across eastern Massachusetts, possible meteor break-up

MASSACHUSETTS (WGGB/WSHM) - Around 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 30th, residents across the eastern half of the Baystate were reporting a large boom being heard.
According to our ABC affiliate station in Boston, WCVB, multiple witnesses submitted video to their station with the sound of the boom happening around 2:11 p.m.
StormTeam 5 suggested the sound could have possibly been a meteor, but it has not yet been confirmed at this time. The Massachusetts Office of Safety and Security has also confirmed that they have been receiving reports as well.
