MGM Springfield donates to new AIC food pantry

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - MGM Springfield stopped by American International College’s new student food pantry, The Buzz Stop, on Monday to donate to their cause.
The Buzz Stop will give AIC students access to both nonperishable, and perishable, foods, as well as basic school supplies.
Once a week, students can fill a shopping basket without restrictions, allowing them to focus on their studies and not worry about where their next meal will come from.
Jennifer McGrath, the Director of Philanthropy and Community Engagement at MGM Springfield said, “This is something very special. Where local college students are able to have food and certainty during crunch time with finals coming up, and make sure that they’re healthy, sustainable, and able to thrive.”
The Buzz Stop is now stocked thanks to a partnership with The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts and an anonymous donor.
