Monson fire crews assist in putting out Connecticut fire

STAFFORD, CT (WGGB/WSHM) - Monson Fire Department was one of several agencies responding to a fire that destroyed a house in Connecticut Wednesday. It was on Mountain Road in Stafford Springs.
Crews were called in from across the area, including Tolland, Somers, Broad Brook, and Monson, which you can see was a good distance for that department.
Officials said the cold and wind helped their efforts, but even still, the house is a total loss. The people inside made it out safely, and no injuries were reported.
