Monson police rescue juvenile owl from road

MONSON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Monson police responded to reports of an injured owl in the roadway on Sunday.
Police located the juvenile barred owl who was refusing to leave the roadway and was unable or unwilling to take flight.
The Massachusetts Environmental Police Department and the Monson Police Department evaluated the bird and determined that the owl just “didn’t ‘want to fly right now’ because, ‘you can’t make me,’' police said on social media.
The owl was safely returned to its natural habitat.
