Montague man sentenced for creating sexual abuse material of 5, 2-year-old

MONTAGUE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A Montague man was sentenced to 18 to 20 years in prison after he made child sexual abuse material of a young child and a toddler.
A cybertip revealed that level 3 sex offender Ryan Montpelier was using Instagram to ask a 13-year-old for naked pictures of herself. He was also collecting child sexual abuse materials and creating new materials of at least two children ages five and two, according to the Northwestern District Attorney’s office.
On Friday, he pleaded guilty to the following:
Montpelier received a similar conviction in 2008. Following his 18 to 20 years, he will be subject to seven years of supervised probation.
