MSPCA to host free Adopt-A-Thon
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The MSPCA and its shelter partners are set to hold a fee-free Adopt-A-Thon starting later this week.
“The World Pup” will run from Friday through Sunday at all four MSCPA shelters in the area as well as the Foundation for TJO Animals, the Dakin Humane Society and the Berkshire Humane Society.
All dogs one year old and older will have their adoption fees waived during this weekend’s event.
The hope is to get pups into new homes and to free up space in shelters which see a larger intake of animals during the summer months. The MSPCA also says dog adoptions have historically slowed.
