New England Patriots announce their 2026 regular season schedule

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The reigning American Football Conference champions, the New England Patriots, have announced their 2026 regular season schedule.
The regular season will begin on Wednesday, September 9th, as a Super Bowl LX rematch against the Seattle Seahawks away at Lumen Field. The first game of the season will be unique in two ways, the first time the Patriots ever started their season on a Wednesday, and as well as the first regular season week 1 Super Bowl rematch since 2016 when the Denver Broncos hosted the Carolina Panthers.
The Patriots will also be packing their bags for a trip to Germany to face the Detroit Lions in the Bavarian city of Munich on November 8th. It will be the second time New England has played a game in the country since they hosted the Indianapolis Colts in Frankfurt back in 2023.
The Patriots will have their Bye Week on the week of Sunday, November 22nd.
