New York man faces slew of charges in connection with Ludlow fraud

LUDLOW, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A man from Flushing, N.Y. is facing over a dozen charges after allegedly scamming an elderly woman out of Ludlow.
On June 17, an elderly victim was convinced by a scammer posing as a Federal Trade Commission agent that her finances had been compromised. She was persuaded to take out a large amount of money and give it to an individual.
The scammer continued to try to convince her to give him more money under the false promise that her funds would be returned by the federal government, police said.
She contacted police a few days later. On June 22, she coordinated with detectives to contact and arrest the suspect.
The suspect was identified as 43-year-old Suqi Chen of New York. He was charged with the following:
