Nissan's financing arm has sued Bella Nissan of Pittsfield, alleging the dealership owes more than $1.5 million in unpaid vehicle financing, lease obligations and other debt.
The City Council unanimously voted Tuesday to adopt a $232.8 million operating budget for fiscal year 2027, but only after a heated debate over whether the Council held the power to amend the mayor’s revised budget.
"After much reflection, ongoing health considerations, and a desire to spend more time with my family, I have decided that this is the right next step for me personally and professionally," Taber said.
The Peru Select Board voted unanimously to extend its police chief-sharing agreement with Hinsdale for another six months.
Peru voters rejected three citizen petitions, according to Town Clerk Kim Leach.
