Northampton man sentenced for giving minor drugs for sex acts

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A Northampton man was sentenced after he admitted to a slew of charges in connection with raping and abusing a child, according to the Northwestern District Attorney’s office.

Corey Griswold, 36, gave alcohol and drugs to a 15-year-old girl in exchange for sex acts, an investigation found.

He also told her to lie about what he had done when the abuse was discovered.

On May 14, Griswold pleaded guilty to four counts of rape and abuse of a child in addition to the following charges:

He was sentenced to five to seven years in prison and will be required to register as a sex offender. In addition, he will be subject to five years of supervised probation following his release.
